A Call to Action: Volunteer with Scalby Fair
Scalby Fair needs volunteers to help make our Fair Week from Friday 13 June to Sunday 22 June 2025. the best one yet.
We need people to help us with stewarding, stall construction/removal and general tasks. You can help throughout the day or for limited time periods.
Why not help this community enterprise, run by members of the community for the enjoyment of all, raising money for good causes.
We are a cheerful, outgoing team that would welcome new members.

Scalby Fair AGM: Thursday, 10 October 2024
The Scalby Fair AGM will be held on Thursday, 10 October 2024, from 6.30pm at Scarborough Rugby Club. We welcome all committee members, supporters, and friends of the Fair to the AGM. Please send your apologies to the Secretary via email to sheppardnigel@hotmail.com.
2024 was a fantastic year for Scalby Fair. The Fair was expanded, there were more stalls, some new forms of entertainment and great food offerings. We were able to give over £5,000 to charity. We will celebrate this with a dinner at the Rugby Club on Thursday 10 October, 7.00 pm for 7.30, immediately following the AGM. The menu will be a choice of:
Starter – Chicken liver pate served with salad, chutney and crusty bread or tomato & basil soup with bread roll and butter.
Main – Oven roasted loin of pork served with stuffing and a sage and onion gravy or baked fillet of salmon served with a lemon, prawn and chive sauce
or
Cumin, butternut squash and lentil wellington served with a spicy tomato sauce (vegan)
The price will be £24 including wine and coffee.

Scalby Fair 2025 Calendar on Sale
The new Scalby Fair 2025 Calendar is on sale now for £8.00 at the following outlets:
The Plough Inn, High St, the Nag’s Head, High St, Body Concepts, High St (all in Scalby); and at Newby and Scalby Library on Scalby Road.
Postal deliveries will cost a total of £12.00 within the UK.

A really popular event during Scalby Fair Week is always the Barons 5km Run which you can join in with on Sunday, 16 June 2024.
We would like to thank Baron’s Gym for sponsoring our run once again this year.
There is no charge to be a runner but you can support your favourite charity or make a donation to Scalby Fair, should you wish.
This is a multi-terrain course consisting of 2 x 2.5km laps of the course. . The course map is below and can be viewed or downloaded.
