We have been receiving plaudits for the 2025 Fair.
“The best Fair yet, thank you to all the organisers”.
“Many thanks for all you and the team do for our village and the surrounding community”.
The 48th Fair was one of most successful that we have held. The weather smiled on large crowds who enjoyed over fifty stalls, were entertained on three stages, and enjoyed varied food offerings. The Fair opened with the marvellous Sea Scout band marching down the High Street led by the Town Crier who proclaimed the 2025 Scalby Fair opened. The crowds then poured in to enjoy a wonderful afternoon.
A big thanks to all who attended the Fair. Of course, it would not have been possible without the support of our stallholders. The stalls were a colourful sight with many stallholders embracing the Fair’s theme of superheroes. Competition for the Best Dressed Stall Competition was fierce. The Cake Sisters came out on top followed by the caped heroes of Newby and Scalby Library and the lovely cakes of Hartleys.
None of this would have been possible without the fabulous support of seventy volunteers. To setup an event of its size with community volunteers is a remarkable achievement and one of which the community can be proud. We thank them for their hard work.
The purpose of the Fair is to provide an event for the enjoyment of all the community and to bring that community together. This was achieved that in spades. We look forward to welcoming you back to Scalby Fair 2026 on Saturday 20th June.
The organisers of Scalby Fair recognise that they can always improve. We would welcome comments or suggestions that you might have about the Fair.
