After yesterday’s heavy rain it was warm and sunny for the Barons Scalby Fair 5k today. The race was won by Jackson Smith in a time of 17 minutes 10 seconds. Sue Haslam was the fastest lady in a great time of 22.41. The fastest junior was Xabier Unanue in a remarkable time of 24.35. Xabier is only 9 years old. Full results are attached. Big thanks to Tom Gillon who set up the race, Dave Parke who did the timing, Dave Field who was last runner marshall, Lol Whiteley and Yvonne Gibbs (registration) and all the other marshalls from Scalby Fair and Scarborough Athletic Club.

Our ceilidh on Friday evening was the opening salvo to what will be a great week of activity. We are proud to say that we will be able to present our profit of £350 to St Martins House Children’s Hospital. The ceilidh was great fun and enjoyed by all.
