Scalby Folk Festival 2023

Folk Festival: A Great Success!!

10 October 2023 By Web Editor

The folk festival held in September at The Nag’s Head in Scalby, was greatly enjoyed by many people. In addition to great music and a lot of fun, £5,150 was raised as a donation to Martin House Hospice. This sum includes £850 from the Temperance Hall Fridays events.

Scalby Folk Festival 2023

2 August 2023 By Developer

1 – 3 September 2023 at the Nag’s Head, Scalby.
Entry is free.

Last year we managed to raise over £3,000 for Martin House Children’s Hospice which is quite an achievement. This brings our total raised over the last 4 years (unfortunately 2020 was cancelled due to the dreaded Covid) for various charities to more than £16,000.

This year our charity of choice is Martin House Children’s Hospice.

All money raised, less direct expenses for sound, printing and, in a few cases, guest travel are donated to the charity in full.

All guests perform for no fee unless expenses have been agreed.

As well as live music, and the Nag’s Head ales etc, food is available from Arthur’s in the Nag’s Head courtyard.
