FAITH IN SCARBOROUGH SCHOOLS
“As a local charity, we strive to pass on our Christian faith to as many school children as possible through our ‘in school’ activities.
We don’t charge schools for our work and therefore rely solely on monthly donations from individuals and successful grant applications.
We employ 3 part time workers and have a large reserve of willing volunteers, all of without which, we would struggle to meet the demand.
We envision expanding our team and increasing the number of events year on year to meet the need to spread the Gospel amongst young people.”

NEWBY AND SCALBY LIBRARY
Newby and Scalby library is a Community Library run entirely by volunteers on behalf of North Yorkshire Council. We are a registered charity and the running costs, including utilities, maintenance and special events are paid for by us through fundraising and the sale of second hand books. Apart from library services, we host a wide range of community based activities and events for all ages, both in the library and in our beautiful garden created with lottery funding. We are grateful to the public, local organisations and businesses for their ongoing support since we first opened as a Community Library in 2017 and we are delighted to be taking part in Scalby Fair again this year.
NICOLA WATSON: 42ND ST MARK’S SCOUTS.
Hi, we are 42nd St Mark’s Scout Group. Every week we help around 100 local young people aged 4 to 18 develop skills for life, encouraging them to have care, integrity, cooperation, belief and respect for others while having fun. We camp, cook, play games, and work towards many varied awards to give the youngsters a sense of achievement. Our stall at Scalby Fair is to raise awareness and hopefully much needed funds to give our young people as many opportunities as possible.
SCARBOROUGH CAMERA CLUB.
Scarborough Camera Club welcome new members for the 2024/25 season. We meet at the Scalby and Newby Community Centre every Wednesday at 7.30pm to 9.30pm from 2nd October 2024. We also have a programme of summer visits. It doesn’t matter if you have a camera phone, compact camera or more advanced camera. Would you like to move on from holiday snaps to more creative images? Learn how to make images more dynamic or create ones which are more atmospheric for example.
Why not pop along to our stall at Scalby Fair and see what we do?
THE HOSPITAL LEAGUE OF FRIENDS
The League of Friends has been a longstanding supporter of Scarborough Hospital for many years. Our aim is to provide items for comfort and personal care for patients whilst in hospital.
